Can I use a recent NPDB report, or do I need a new one?

If your previous NPDB self-query report is less than 6 months old, it may be accepted. If it is older than 6 months, you should expect to provide a new NPDB self-query. Other background checks, including FBI or BCI reports, do not replace the NPDB self-query because they do not serve the same credentialing purpose.
